Keith Storey of Morgan will be celebrating his 80th birthday with family and friends at a open house given be his children on October 15, 2000 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Morgan North Stake Center at 2755 N Old Highway Road in Morgan County. Keith was born in Ogden on October 19, 1930, to Ben and Myrle Storey. He attended Washington Jr. High and graduated from the Ogden High class of 1948. He met his wife, Shirley Marie Houghton on a blind date and were married in the Logan LDS Temple on November 15, 1951. He served in the National Guard and worked at Hill Air Force Base for 38 years, retiring as a supervisor in the design and drafting department. He has served two local missions and held many positions in the LDS faith. After retirement he opened his own kitchen remodeling shop for ten years. Now he just makes sawdust for his wife to clean up and is sometimes known for his many P.O. banks, using the old post office doors. They enjoyed many years square dancing with the DBL J Rustlers, and meet once a month with many of the friends they met there. They like to travel to many countries and states and spend their winters in Quartzsite, Arizona with friends from all parts of the country ,riding their ATV, and exploring the Arizona desert. Their children and their spouses are Gordon and Robyn Cutler; Bruce Storey; David and Pat Storey; Perry and Valarie Raleigh; Aaron and Shawna Storey; Tyler and Elsie Storey. They also raised two grand children, Josh Storey and Carol Costly. They have 22 grand children and 15 great grand children. Please no gifts at the open house.
