Betty Wilkinson of Morgan will celebrate her 80th birthday August 25. She will be honored at a family party and dinner on Saturday, August 27th. Betty was born and raised in Morgan to Verde and Gladys Stuart. She married Bert Wilkinson on May 20, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the OgdenTemple. Betty and Bert have been best friends and have done everything together for the past sixty-two years. She has supported him as he worked to establish Wilkinson Construction Company. She has enjoyed the times they have spent riding motorcycles, 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, boating, camping and anything else that came along. A big part of her life has been spent outdoors enjoying these activities. Betty has never been afraid of getting her hands dirty. She has helped each of her five children with painting and decorating projects in their homes, yard work, cleaning projects and anything else they needed help with. Betty is very involved with her kids, grand kids, and great grand kids. She has always put her husband and kids first. The grandkids are amazed that their grandma can do most everything they can do – and she does it with them. She has spent a lot of her life with young children. She has held many different church positions but her favorite has always been the primary. All little kids love her! Her opinion is always sought whenever a project (of any kind) is underway or a decision has to be made. Her number one goal is to have a close family and that is what she has! Her five children and their spouses are Sherry and Dee Waldron, Morgan; Denise and Dave Rich, Morgan; Judy and Stuart Wilkinson, Morgan; Carol and Dan Wilkinson, Morgan; and Sue and Dean Ghizzone, Portland, Oregon. She has sixteen grand kids, and 32 great grand kids. One little grandson is deceased, Anthony Paul Ghizzone. Happy 80 Birthday Mom, we love you!
