It is that time of year again when the Morgan Middle School holds its annual art show. Work from the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will be on display along with creations from this years’ guest artist Nicole Lamb Taggart. The show is open to the public from Feb. 23-24, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is held in the small gymnasium at the middle school. Nicole Lamb Taggart was born in Morgan, Utah in 1978. At a very young age she was captivated by the horse and drew her first picture of one at the age of three. Horses remained her favorite art subject throughout her school years. During her college attendance she took several art classes including introductory art and oil painting. She was later introduced to Joyce Wally who became her mentor and teacher. Nicole took oil painting classes from Joyce for nearly 6 years where her skills blossomed as a painter of animals. In the past her paintings have been entered in the Morgan County Fair and have won Honorable Mention and Sweepstakes ribbons. Nicole is currently married and living in Ogden. She now paints her house more than animals but still has a love for the expression of oil painting. Put the Morganfest Art Show on your calendar and come and enjoy an artistic experience close to home.
