This year’s General Sterling Scholar at Morgan High School is Seanna Thornton, daughter of Doug and Janet Thornton! Seanna is the Student Body President at Morgan High School. She has also earned the honor of Academic All-State in girls’ tennis and attended the national FBLA competition in Nashville, Tennessee her junior year. Seanna is involved in many activities at the high school including the Morgan Youth Service Interact Club, the Ovation! Choir (Morgan High’s chamber choir), National Honor Society, FBLA, track & field and the tennis team. Besides leading the school as Student Body President, she has also served as Sophomore Class President, FBLA Public Relations Officer, and captain of the tennis team. Seanna’s favorite classes at Morgan High have been AP English with Mrs. Morrison and AP European History with Mr. Hardy. A service experience that stands out in her mind was when she had the opportunity to gather hundreds of donations for the Road Home Shelter, deliver those donations, and serve dinner to the families there. From all of her years at high school Seanna will remember the fun and silly times and jokes she has shared with her friends the very most. Seanna’s hobbies outside of school include singing, playing tennis, and playing ultimate frisbee. She plans to attend Utah State University this fall where she will major in Business Administration.
