Do you want to get some exercise and support a good cause at the same time? If you answered yes or no to this question, come support the Morgan Food Bank with a fundraiser Fun Run on Sept. 10. Fun Run indicates that anyone can join us at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Participants can run or walk the Como Springs Course. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall participants for men and women. Age group winners will also receive a medal for their performance (men and women, three deep).   There is also an 80+ age group for men and women.  We will have music, food and fun at the finish line. Registration for the event begins at 7 a.m. at Riverside Park close to the Skate Park.  The race begins at 8 a.m. Registration fees are $15.  If you desire to have a T-shirt, that will be $10.

Not up to walking or running?  Donate during this event.  We are looking for money donations over food because it will allow the food bank to buy items that are not usually donated or covered by food stamps like soaps and health and beauty aids.  The money will also be used to purchase coats and other winter gear.  All money from this event will be go directly to the Morgan Food Bank. Staff will be available to take donations directly to the Morgan Food Bank.

The event coordinator, Max Dicou, will be putting this event on for his Eagle Scout Project. We would love to thank the sponsors of this community event: Napa Auto Parts, Morgan Valley Polaris, Fairway Glass, Canyon Collision, Traverse Travel, Morgan Valley Manufacturing, Little Lube, First Bank of Morgan, Morgan Drug, Bingham’s Meats, Morgan Health Center, Alan Brooks Crossroads, Suburbia, Morgan Eye Care, Ridley’s, Karens Kreations, Edward Jones and Jerry Pierce Real Estate.
