Each month Morgan County 4-H has hosted a family craft night at the courthouse. Crafts have varied and reflect the season. Aprils craft celebrated Earth Day by planting different kinds of seeds in toilet paper containers to grow indoors until it is warm enough for them to survive outside. Kelly Carter 4-H Assistant has planned and presented the activities.
Adeline Carrigan, Food Sense director also provided a snack to fit the theme; noodle bird nest with jelly bean eggs and broccoli trees with dip.
Next month kids will have an opportunity to create jewelry for mom. Additionally there will be displays and extra information about everything 4-H has to offer. The Open House event will be Thursday, May 17 from 6:30-7:30 where kids can create the free make and take craft and sign up for all the fun camps and activities for summer.
