50th Anniversary - Paul and Vanna Carter

Paul and Vanna Carter celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with their family in Park City, Utah. Each of their children and spouses along with all grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to attend the weekend of fun with the exception of two grandsons serving LDS missions and a deceased great-granddaughter. The group were able to watch the U.S. Olympic Aerial Freestyle Show at Olympic Park as well as other daytime activities such as riding the alpine coaster, frisbee golf at the top of the ski runs, and a family dinner hosted by their children at the Park City Grill.

    Paul and Vanna were married in the Logan LDS Temple on July 6, 1961. They have lived in Porterville since 1974. Paul retired from Utah Power & Light after working there for 28 years. At the time of his retirement he was Region Administrative Manager. Vanna retired from Morgan County School District after working there for 21 years in various positions ending with the Middle School Media Aide. For many years, Paul and Vanna, along with good friends Gary and Marcia Leak, taught many people western dance and enjoyed sharing their love of dance with others. They served an LDS Service Mission in the Ogden Inner City Project.

    Their children include Sharalee (Craig) Hall of Syracuse, Dana (Jamie) Wilde of Morgan, Lori (Wes) Holman of Millcreek, Washington, Jody (Rhonda) Carter of Porterville, and Brady (Shari) Carter of Pullman, Washington. They have 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
