50th Anniversary - Richard and Janice Finlayson

Richard and Janice Finlayson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Friends and neighbors are requested to join the celebration on Saturday,  April 2, 2011. 

Richard was born and raised in Provo, Utah and Janice in Ucon, Idaho. 

In 1960 they met and fell in love in Aberdeen, Maryland while both serving in the military. They were united in marriage on April 14, 1961.  They settled in Salt Lake City where they purchased their first home of ten years in Murray, Utah.  

They have since lived in Morgan for the past 36 years.  

Richard retired from the Utah National Guard in 1984 and from Hill Air Force Base in 1994. After Richard retired he drove school bus for Morgan School District for ten years.  

Janice was a housewife for many years. She went to work for the IRS and retired with 20 years of service in 2004. Just to fill her spare time, her hobby has been selling Avon for the past 27 years.

Their six children and spouses are Vicki and Layne Paul, Brian and Brooke (Jensen) Finlayson, Brenda and Todd Bingham, Valerie Whitten, Karla and Chris Wegner, Kristy and Mike Ware.  They have been blessed with 16 grandchildren and the 17th on the way. 

Please join them at an open house in their honor from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. on April 2 at the LDS Field Church, 240 S. Field Street Morgan. A light lunch will be served.
