Boys soccer teams start season strong

The Morgan High School soccer teams have started their season out strong with varsity and junior varsity wins over Grantville.
The varsity team won Grantsville 7-0 and the junior varsity team took home a narrow 3-2 win.  The junior varsity team came out ahead in all but one of their pre-season games.  Their only loss was to Northridge High School, a 5A team.
The soccer teams are enjoying their new head coach, David Lane, and assistant coach/JV coach, Bryan Searl.  Lane gushed about how amazing the boys on these teams are.  He said, “This team will be as good as they want it to be.  All the talent is there.  There is definite potential.  They are really good kids.”
The goal is to get the team to state this year.  They are off to a great start and community support helps tremendously, so please come out and support your Trojan soccer teams!  All home games are listed in the community calendar each week in The Morgan County News.
