Family Fun Night will be Monday, Nov. 26, at the Morgan County Library. The event has been named, “Gift of Reading,” and will begin at 6 p.m.
Storytelling and skits by various groups and individuals in the community will kick off the evening. Storytelling will be provided by Morgan County employees and school district employees. There will be three monologues and two improv skits by Morgan High School students. They have put a lot of work into this so we would like to invite everyone to come over and vote for their favorite story or skit.
Other activities will include crafts for kids, creating gift bags and service coupons. There will also be instructions for downloading library books to your Kindle; iPad; iPod; and iPhone. Instructions on downloading items to other devices will be given at a later date.
This charitable event will also give those with fines the opportunity to pay them down. Anyone who donates unexpired canned food items, or new unopened personal hygiene items will have$1 taken off their overdue book fines. All food and personal hygiene donations will go to benefit YCC (Your Community Connection) in Ogden.
This will be the conclusion to this year’s Family Fun Night quarterly event. However, Mrs. Hancock would like to remind everyone of other ongoing events at the library. Elementary school students meet every Wednesday from 2- 3 p.m. for the Lego club. Hancock encourages students to take advantage of this opportunity to come play with the Legos and meet new friends.
