Family fun night to bring diversity

Article Date:
21 February, 2014 (All day)

Morgan County Librarian Valerie Hancock hopes to get the community better acquainted with other countries through the theme “Many Lands, Many Friends” for Monday’s family fun night.
Seven countries will be represented at the family fun night on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.
Several current Morgan residents who once lived in another part of the world will be sharing their experiences that evening. These guest speakers will be introduced that evening.
The countries represented will include Russia, Malaysia, Guyana, Tonga, Korea, England and Australia.
Local residents will share experiences, display show and tell items from these countries and have food for sampling from these faraway places.
Hands on crafts relating to the “Many Lands, Many Friends” will also be available for the children.
The display case near the Morgan County Library’s entrance will also be carrying the theme with pictures, objects and books.
