A fatal crash near Roy and Sunset claimed the life of Eva A. Trump of Morgan. Witnesses said her vehicle was traveling on Interstate 15, darting in and out of traffic.  The Dodge Neon she was driving had drifted into a construction area, where she over corrected, crossed the median, dropped off the embankment, and went down the hill to the bottom.  The car then went under a cable barrier and into oncoming traffic near mile marker 338 and  collided with a semi-trailer.

Semi-truck driver, Christopher McIntyre, 23 from West Valley City, said he only saw a glimpse of something before it hit the side of his truck and went under the tires.

The truck driver was not injured and there were no other injuries. Southbound I-15 closed for a short time to allow a road crew to clear the crash scene.

When Eva’s car hit the truck, UHP Corporal Todd Johnson said she was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.  He said, “no impairment was suspected.”

Eva was 41 years old. Our condolences to her family and friends for the loss of their loved one.
