The Morgan company Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP) will be having their summer social on Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Riverside Park.
All camp elected and appointed officers are invited to attend. Information from DUP international will be distributed during individual department meetings after a lovely picnic dinner.
Please be aware that raffle tickets for the DUP quilt have been sold at Ridley’s and the Morgan County Fair. You have not missed your chance to be the winning ticket holder because a DUP member will be at Ridley’s market once again from 6-8 p.m. each Friday evening and from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. each Saturday until the quilt is raffled off at the DUP opening social in September.
The holder of the winning wicket will not need to attend the meeting but will be notified of their win by a member of DUP. A news article and picture of them receiving the quilt will be printed in The Morgan County News.
We would like to thank Ridley’s for their help and support in allowing us to use their facilities for the raffle ticket sales.
Also available for purchase is the book “Mountains Conquered” and a picture of the DUP log cabin.
Watch for the banner in front of the DUP museum each second and fourth Saturday until September. The banner will indicate to you that both the museum and log cabin will be open for you to view. Visit the museum first and a DUP member will be glad to open the cabin for you.
If you have a family reunion or other special event in Morgan and would like to have a fun activity please feel free to contact Jennifer Archibeque, our DUP museum director at 801-876-3075 and she will make sure that the museum is open and available for your guests to enjoy.
