MHS Wrestlers Take to the Mat

The Morgan Wrestlers traveled to Coalville last Wednesday,  December. 8, to face North Summit and Carbon in a tri-meet dual.  Morgan easily  defeated both teams.  
Varsity winners against Carbon were: Colton Walker, Easton Pentz, Jake Anderson, Cormick Breshears, Randon Prochnow, Connor Jensen, Luke Larsen, and Jackson Lake.  
Varsity winners against North Summit were:  Colton Walker, Tyson Spens, Easton Pentz, Jake Anderson, Randon Prochnow, Connor Jensen, and Thomas Ericson.
JV winners were:  Brady Libby, Christian Winn, Wells Wilkinson, and Hayden Pentz.  
Then last weekend the wrestlers participated in the two-day Roy Classic Duals.  For the varsity it was a team tournament with 21 schools from all over the state.  Morgan finished in 4th place, and had three varsity wrestlers go undefeated.  They were:  Cormick Breshears, Colton Walker, and Shawn Francis.
For the JV, it was an individual tournament.  Morgan had eight wrestlers who placed.  Clint Young -1st, Kade Carrigan -1st, Luke Larsen -2nd, Tyler Johnson -3rd, Thomas Ericson -3rd, Tristan Trussell -3rd, Brady Libby -5th, and Alex Gianfilippo -5th.
The wrestlers traveled to Juan Diego last night for a region dual and are back up in Coalville today and tomorrow for a two-day tournament.  Good luck boys!!
