The Morgan Education Foundation continues to raise funds to support student learning within the Morgan District.  Recently, the group sponsored their annual golf tournament at Round Valley and netted $3,400 in revenues.  This event is only one of many organized by the group each year.
The Foundation through their efforts will distribute more than $13,000 in grants to schools and individual teachers within the month.  These funds will be used to purchase such items as reading books, writing software, and hard technology such as I-pads and document cameras.
The Morgan Education Foundation was established in 2007 as a tax exempt public charity foundation.  Its mission is to unite the community in acquiring and directing resources to enhance the educational experience and pursuit of excellence for students attending public schools within the Morgan School District.  Its strength and success are based on a core group of local volunteers dedicated to educational excellence and the kind support of an involved community.
“In these tough economic times we are working hard to support our schools,” remarked Chairman Brenda Crossley, “and we appreciate all those who lend financial support to the foundation.”
The foundation will sponsor their bi-annual auction on November 1, 2012.  Items ranging from gift baskets to ATV’s will be for bid.  Funds from the auction will support the educational programs for children in the Morgan School District.
