On March 5 to 7 Morgan High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter competed in the Utah State Leadership Conference against prominent young future business leaders. Morgan students did very well and 17 students placed in the top 10 in the state in their respective events.
This includes the Website Design team of Rebekah Peterson and Bryan Smith placing second; Digital Design and Promotion team of Rebekah Peterson, Taylor Hardy and Courtney Fairbourne placing second; Sports and Entertainment Management team of Dallen Calder, Tyler Hatch and Ryan Millburn placing third; Jacob Rice placing third in Public Speaking 1; and Desktop Publishing teams Travis Kippen and Colby Miller, and Tyler Phalen and Jacob Walker placing second and third respectively.
Thirteen FBLA students qualified for nationals and will represent Morgan and the state of Utah in Nashville, Tenn., this summer.
FBLA members have learned important business skills for the future and taken an active part in their community. They are partnering with hit country artist Collin Raye on April 7 in the Morgan High School auditorium to put on a benefit concert for Brennan Trussell.
