The annual Utah State FFA CDE contests were held April 22 and 23, 2014 in Logan, Utah.  Our local Morgan FFA chapter sent out four teams to compete in the following areas: Livestock Evaluation, Vet Science, Poultry Evaluation, and Meat Evaluation.
Each team consisted of four members.  After many hours of practicing and time spent in the classroom learning and preparing, it all paid off in the end.  The poultry team earned second place with a gold raking and Jessica Larsen was first high individual in the state.  The meats team pulled off a solid first place win as your Utah State Champions with Isaac Cannon second high individual.  Members of the meats team consisted of Luke Larson, Isaac Cannon, Maloree Stapley, and Eli Cannon.
These four kids will be headed to the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky this October to have the chance to compete for a national title.  Good job to all our kids who competed and congratulations to the winning teams!
