Morgan Health Center celebrates anniversary

Article Date:
20 December, 2013 (All day)

The new Morgan Health Center is about to celebrate their first anniversary in their new and updated building.
The new facilities have been a blessing to the staff and to the community.  The old building was outdated and quite literally falling apart.  Staff member Linda Gale joked, “We used to have to be very careful going down the wheelchair ramp.  It was too easy to ‘eject’ patients on the way down.”  Gale loves how much better the privacy is in the new building.  She also loves that there are no more meetings and lunches in the hallway.
The one thing that hasn’t changed is the friendly service you receive. New staff member, Janalene Roseman did an internship at the clinic before becoming a full time employee.  She said, “I got to work with Myra Turner one on one.  She was so kind and helpful.  Her laughter was infectious.”  Now that she is a part of the team she says, “It amazes me how many things go on behind the scenes just to help one patient in need with a problem or concern.  The staff cares about each other and their patients.”
Over this past year, patients and employees have enjoyed the additional space and beauty of the new facility.  To further enhance the facility, the health center will be updating the artwork featured throughout the building and they would like your help.
A photo contest is being offered for all Morgan County Residents to submit high-quality photos highlighting Morgan Valley.  They are looking for a collection of photos that feature each of the four seasons, from the rolling green hills to the snow-covered mountains of Morgan.
Photos may be submitted electronically by email to ryan.tripp@hcahealthcare.com, or individual prints may be delivered to the Morgan Health Center.  An electronic copy will be requested later if photo is selected as a winner.  All submissions must include the name of the photo as well as the photographer’s full name.
A selection committee comprised of Morgan Health Center staff will review all photo submissions and select at least six photos to be featured at the facility.  Photos are to be submitted no later than Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
After the selection process is complete, winners will be notified.  Photos will be enlarged and framed for display.  An engraving will accompany the photo with the name of the photo and the photographer’s full name.
To commemorate the health center’s successful year, and to say thank you for all the support, they would like to invite the Morgan community to enjoy a free pancake breakfast and hot chocolate on Dec. 31 from 8 – 10 a.m. Come ring in the new year with the health center staff.
