Republicans choose party officers
The Morgan County Republican Party recently chose new party officers including Chairman Lars Birkeland, Vice Chairwoman Tina Cannon, Secretary Lydia Nuttall, Treasurer Pamela Smith and State Central Committee Member Kera Birkeland.
State and county delegates elected at neighborhood caucus meetings choose county officers every two years.
The party plans on holding town hall meetings, meet the candidate events, and gatherings with guest speakers “to better educate residents on the issues we’re facing and how the political process works,” said Kera Birkeland.  “Our hope is that with more information available to people, and knowing the Republican Party is working hard to support residents, more people will run for public office in our county.”

Johanson apartments change ownership
Since 1968, the Johanson family have owned and operated L.K.J Apartments, otherwise known throughout the community as the Johanson Aparments.  There have been many residents of the valley start their married lives in these apartments.  We have the children of some of the early families now beginning their families in the apartments.
The Johanson family feels the apartments have been an asset to our community.  They wish to thank all of those who have patronized the Johanson apartments through the years.  With confidence, they pass on ownership to Blane and Janae Smith, owners of Parkside Properties, LLC.  The change was effective as of May 1, 2013.
