Jean Holbrook Bohman, 95, passed peacefully into eternity at her home on Saturday June 7, 2014. She was born October 8, 1918, to Joseph Franklin and Nancy Catherine Burt Holbrook in Ely, Nevada. Jean grew up on her father’s ranch in Metropolis, Nevada, and graduated from Metropolis High School. She attended Brigham Young University and graduated from Hollywood Beauty School in Ogden, Utah.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has a strong testimony of the gospel and plan of salvation. She served in the Primary organization for 30 years and loved working with the children, especially the three-year-olds. But her favorite calling was playing the piano. The piano was one of her greatest life-long loves along with gardening, cooking for her family and making quilts.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses Jill and Tiffany of Applegate Home Care and Hospice for their kind and gentle care. The family would also like to give a special thanks to our brother, Burt, who gave such tender care to our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother so she could live out the rest of her life in the comfort of her own home as she wished.
