Paul Douglas Lowe, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Aug. 17, 2014, while surrounded by his children and loved ones.
Paul was born in Morgan, Utah, on Feb. 22, 1932, to Arch and Nancy Lowe. He was the youngest of seven children. Paul was drafted and served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he received numerous medals and an honorable discharge for his service. Upon his arrival home to Morgan after the conflict, he married the love of his life, Avena Lucy Saunders. They were married on July 31, 1954, and together they had five children. Shortly after his children were born, Paul moved the family to Green River, Wyoming, so he could be a union worker in the trona mines. He worked hard to provide for his family; his biggest pastime and hobby was being a husband and father to those he cared about.
Paul is survived by his children Guy Lowe (Lyman, WY), Paula Musbach (Green River, WY), Brenda Lowe (Green River, WY), and Steve Lowe (Evanston, WY). Paul has 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, his wife Avena, and his son Jeff Lowe.
Services will be held at Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Utah, on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. A visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at South Morgan Cemetery.
