“By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.” this is the theme of the Morgan Stake Relief Society retreat on Jan. 25, 2013.
The retreat will be held at the Morgan Stake Center. Participants will be welcomed by Nyla Banner at 9 a.m. with Morgan Stake President Joey Skinner presiding and providing some opening remarks. Barbara Anderson will be introducing the retreat’s theme for the day, and Laylene Dicou with be providing the prelude and postlude music.
There will be a musical number by the Relief Society choir conducted by Theresa Brooks and accompanied by Laylene Dicou. Following the musical number there will be a video presentation. At 9:50 a.m. we will dismiss for classes.
Participants will pick three classes from the list of small and simple instruction. The first class will be from 9:50-10:20 a.m.; the second class with be from 10:25-10:55 a.m.; and the third class will be from 11-11:30 a.m.
After these classes, lunch will be served in the cultural hall for everyone to enjoy. All classes will be offered one more time after lunch for those interested in staying.
A special thanks goes out to all committee members for their hard work in getting all of this together. The committee includes the following: Kelly Preece took care of the priesthood setup and serving; Liry Birt and Kris Sommers took care of the food; Heather Astle and Briget Miller were in charge of publicity; Jeanne Fry and Cheryl Newton were in charge of decorations; Mary Ann Barnett is in charge of the clean-up; and Dana Wilde will provide the video presentation.
