Article Date:
30 May, 2014 (All day)

Beginning June 2, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is performing roadway maintenance and rehabilitation work on state Road 66, from mile post 8.74 Porterville to mile post 14.35 in Morgan. Crews will repair and replace asphalt, do earth-moving and landscaping work, install concrete structures, and place a chip seal coat over the road.
Beginning the week of June 2, crews will be placing the shoulder dressing and grading the shoulders; and excavating, laying and backfilling the drainage system, including installing concrete drainage structures. One-lane closures will be in effect during drainage system construction.  Once grading is complete, crews will be paving 3/8” hot mix asphalt, necessitating one-lane closures.
Throughout the month of June, crews will be chip sealing the roadway and placing a flush coat on the roadway.  Temporary striping will be placed after the chip seal and flush coat, with permanent striping to follow.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of June. Geneva Rock will be the general contractor.
