Senior Night Held for Wrestlers

Last Thursday night, the senior wrestlers were honored before their final home dual of the season.  The 11 seniors are:  Preston Barnett, Brady Libby, Connor Jensen, Randon Prochnow, Jordan Mendoza, Cormick Breshears, Tyler Johnson, Nate Losee, Clint Young, Rylan Rowser, and Jackson Lake.  

In the varsity dual, Bear River was awarded 18 points from 3 forfeited matches.  Those points proved to be the difference, as Morgan was defeated 30-45.  Individual varsity winners were:  Colton Walker, Cade Carrigan, Cormick Breshears, Tyler Johnson, Connor Jensen, and Thomas Ericson.   JV winners were:  Jake Anderson, Shawn Francis, and Nate Losee.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Juan Diego for the Region tournament.  7 Trojan wrestlers made it to the finals and 20 qualified for the Multi-Region tournament at Wasatch this weekend.  

Individual results were:  Colton Walker  1st, Easton Pentz  2nd,  Rylan  Rowser  3rd,  Cade Carrigan  1st,  Jake Anderson  3rd,  Tristan Trussell  5th, Shawn Francis 3rd, Jordan Mendoza  4th, Shade Watts  5th, Cormick Breshears  1st,  Clint Young  5th,  Nate Losee  2nd, Tyler Johnson  3rd,  Randon Prochnow  2nd,  Jose Patino  6th,  Connor Jensen  1st,  Brady Libby  6th, Cason Bennett  4th, Preston Barnett  6th, and Thomas Ericson 3rd. 

Wrestling at the Multi-Region tournament begins at 1 pm today and 10 am tomorrow.  Good luck boys!
