Snowbasin Resort and the Ogden Valley Ski Team are proud to announce the new “Snowbasin Resort All Stars” developmental ski program for young athletes ages 7 to 12 years old.
This 14-week program will be run by Snowbasin Resort’s snow sports department under the direction of Ogden Valley Ski Team coaches paralleling its standards with the United States skiing snowboarding association development system.
“This program will not only help children develop confidence and increase on-mountain skill, it encourages them to be physically active,” said Gordon Perry, director of the Ogden Valley Ski Team.
John Loomis, Snowbasin Resort’s general manager adds, “We want to give children the opportunity to improve skills and enjoy learning to race in a fun, team environment.”
The all-day program for skiers will take place every Saturday starting Dec. 13, 2014.  Each skier will be matched with a coach and a group for the entire season.  Parents and young athletes will be able to sign up in person at Snowbasin Resort weekends between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the Grizzly Center or on Snowbasin.com.
Perry concludes, “If you have a young skier that is interested in taking their skills to the next level and attaining whatever goal they may have including being an Olympic skier, this is an awesome opportunity for them.”
