Marjorie was born April 3, 1921 in Morgan, Utah to Thelma Dickson and Curtis William Rogers. The second of six children, Marjorie was part of a large, loving family whose devoted parents made home a haven for their children.

Marjorie worked hard at home helping her family, playing with her sisters and brother, took music lessons, loved hiking in the foothills surrounding her home, and playing with her best friend, Della. She loved to go on family car rides and truly loved being with her family among “the hills of home.” Marjorie loved music and dancing, and was a skilled tap dancer. The 20’s and 30’s were the “golden age” of Hollywood, and Marjorie thought that going to movies was a special treat. She also had a great love for animals.

Our precious little special “daughter” Sandra Elaine Hood, entered the presence of her Heavenly Father Sunday, May 22, 2011.  We know she was received in All Glory as she was a pure and chosen spirit.  She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 17, 1963.  She first came into our lives June, 1991, and shortly thereafter came to live with us permanently.  She was born with many afflictions and handicaps which made life a struggle for her.  And as we question why some are bound to remain children all their mortal life we must acknowledge that her bubbly, joyous personality enhanced our family in immeasurable ways.  Sandy brought laughter and happiness with her and brightened our home with her goodness.   We are grateful for the blessing of knowing her and having her as part of our circle.  As she slipped through the veil to the next exciting chapter of her existence, she took with her a big part of our hearts.
