Marjorie Andelin Crittenden, long-time Milton resident, turns 90 years young on January 27th. Born in 1921, in Richfield, Utah, to Bertran Youth and Gladys Jensen Andelin, Marge was the second of seven children.
Coalville – Our sweet mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 12, 2011, after an 18 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born October 21, 1929 the 5th daughter of Ursula Elizabeth Sargent and John Eaton Wright in Spring Hollow, Utah. Afton graduated from North Summit High School in 1947. She moved to Salt Lake City and worked for the Department of Employment Security.
McQuown --radio and television pioneer, prize-winning writer, ardent traveler, voracious reader, lover of the out-of-doors, a true Renaissance woman-- passed away on January 6 in San Francisco, California. Born in Morgan, Utah, to Thelma Dickson and Curtis William Rogers, she is survived by her daughter, Eloise, San Francisco; her sisters, Marjorie Rogers Tueller (Jack) Bountiful, Utah; Florence Rogers Sowell (Wesley), Pocatello, Idaho; Sherolyn Rogers Jenkins (Larry) Morgan, Utah; and brother Bernell D. Rogers (Marjorie) of Torrance, California plus in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklyn King McQuown; her sister, Kathryn Rogers Whittier (Robert); and her parents Thelma and Curtis Rogers.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, January 22, 12 noon, Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple St., SLC with a visitation Sat. 10:30am to noon. Burial: Morgan Utah. Contributions are suggested to your favorite charity.

Donna Vee was born in Coalville, Utah in the house she was raised in. Her parents were Katie LaRue Lamb and George (Ted) Edward Bowen.
Donna had five brothers and four sisters. Her two oldest brothers and her oldest sister have passed away.
Bob and Ginny Finklea have been called to serve in the South Carolina Columbia mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.. They will speak at the Morgan Ninth Ward Sacrament Meeting on December 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. They will enter the Missionary Training Center on January 3, 2011.
Sister Erica Lamb, daughter of Royal D. and Mary K. Lamb of Mountain Green will serve in the Indiana Indianapolis mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She entered the Missionary Training Center on December 15.
Casey Renn Hoopes and Ariel Briscoe have chosen December 18, 2010 to be married for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple.
Casey is the son of Reynold and Valeri Hoopes of Morgan. He graduated from Morgan High School and LDS Seminary in 2008. Casey is currently attending Utah State University where he met his best friend and bride to be.
Elder Michael Joseph Rees has returned from serving an LDS mission in the Guatemala City Central Mission. He is the son of Stan and Kendra Rees. He will be speaking in the Morgan 7th Ward at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Morgan Stake Center.

She graduated from Weber High School. They were married at the Bertha Eccles Hall on November 24, 1950.

Larry & Merle Durrant just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They celebrated with a family dinner at Larry’s Spring Chicken Inn.
Larry and Merle were high school sweethearts. They met at a basketball game between North Summit and Wasatch. Larry was of course playing basketball and Merle was cheer leading. The rest is history!
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Adam R. Aimo graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Arlo Dearden Palmer, 81, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Tremonton, Utah. He was born February 4, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Walter LeRoy Palmer and Ella Lithgoe Dearden. His siblings are Dean, Bessie and Fred (all deceased) and Keith, Valerie, Caroline and Tim.
ROY – Vernon J. Shaw, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at his home in Roy.
He was born August 10, 1924, in Liberty, Utah to Lewis and Sarah Rhodes Shaw. He married Norma Allred on October 24, 1943, in Harrisville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Marvin and Judy Skinner are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Their children are honoring them with a Open House Celebration, on October 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rock LDS Church in Morgan.
Marvin and Judy were high school sweethearts at Soda Springs High School. They were married October 29, 1960 and then were sealed May 7, 1967, in the Logan LDS Temple.
