The Morgan County Fair is promoted as “The Biggest Little Fair in Utah.” After watching only a fraction of the work that was done by Fair Board members while in the newspaper office, it is certainly possible that they actually do just as much work as those in charge of the bigger fairs in the state.
James Nickerson submitted this picture to the newspaper several months ago after traveling to New York. The picture is inspiring enough but I’m sure watching the sun setting behind Lady Liberty in person was an awe-inspiring moment.
Since my husband, Don, and I purchased The Morgan County News, we have published 32 newspapers, and it’s definitely been a lot of work. When that deadline is coming for the newspaper to go to the printer, it feels like… Do you ever have that dream where you’re running as hard as you can from something and you just can’t get away?
There are several things that I remember about visiting my Grandma Frances when I was young; Grandma was petite, standing only about 4’6” short and living alone in her spacious farmhouse. She was small but very active and just a bit feisty if one chose to disagree with her or tease her about something.
In my 40+ years of growing up and being a resident in the State of Utah, I’ve had the opportunity to be taught in many Utah History classes and in many LDS Church History classes.
