Local mom’s ride for life

Residents and strangers came together for a great cause on Monday.  Rob Saunders and friends came up with an idea to do something wonderful for their friend and neighbor, Charese Foster.   Charese was diagnosed last year with invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) that has also spread to her liver, lungs, lymph system and brain.

Meet the Candidate - Tony London

Tony London has served on the Morgan City council for fourteen years.  He grew up in Morgan County, in Croydon.  After he married, in 1979, he moved to Morgan City.  He has three children and two grandchildren.  He works at Holcim as the plant terminal manager.  His responsibility there is for shipping product to their customers.

A Time of Change

This spring and early summer produced a number of changes in our administrative team.  Late in the month of May, Ron Wolff announced his intentions to step down as Superintendent.  In mid-June our beloved Morgan Elementary Principal, Laraine Whitear lost her battle to cancer.  Both individuals have left voids to be filled in our system.  The positive influence for good they have given and shared with our community will be felt for years to come.
