J Myron Adair, 87, died peacefully at his home on April 11, 2013, of natural causes in the arms of his life-long sweetheart and loving wife of 66 years, Doris Johnson Adair.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Milton Ward, 1255 N. Morgan Valley Dr. in Morgan. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.  Interment will be at the Milton Cemetery.

This year’s General Sterling Scholar at Morgan High School is Seanna Thornton, daughter of Doug and Janet Thornton! Seanna is the Student Body President at Morgan High School. She  has also earned the honor of Academic All-State in girls’ tennis and attended the national FBLA competition in Nashville, Tennessee her junior year.

The weather was beautiful across the entire state.  The skies were sunny and the temperatures were comfortable.  You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant day to hunt deer.

Last Tuesday night, the Northeastern Regional Sterling Scholar competition came to a close.  After nearly six months of preparation, 14 schools brought their best students to compete in Mathematics, Science, English, Foreign Language, Dance, Music, Social Science, Computer Technology, Business, Trade and Technical, Speech and Drama, and General.

It is time, once again, to recognize some of the excellent young women and men of Morgan County as we spotlight Morgan High School’s Sterling Scholars.  The Sterling Scholar program’s purpose is to publicly recognize and encourage the pursuit of excellence in scholarship, leadership, and citizenship of high school seniors in the state of Utah.

At the council meeting on Tuesday the county council passed the general plan.  It took about fifteen minutes, but the plan itself has been many years in the creation.  The general plan sets the foundation for the direction of the county in years to come

 My husband and I did our due diligence in researching the qualifications, etc in reference to Clark, Hatch and Kilmer.  In the primary we chose Clark because we felt that she would serve the County fairly and honestly.
