Join the Morgan High School Class of 2013 in celebrating their graduation. The accomplished seniors will walk across the stage to accept their diplomas today at 12:30 p.m. in the Dee Events Center at Weber State
University. The ceremony will be followed by the traditional Operation Graduation this evening at 9 p.m.
The purpose of Operation Graduation is to keep our graduates safe and in a positive environment where they can celebrate with their graduating class the night of graduation. Preparation for this year’s Operation Graduation began in July of 2012. Operation Graduation sponsors a food booth at the Morgan County Fair. Seniors and their parents work at the booth to raise money for the Operation Graduation Celebration that will be held the night of graduation.

It was a mixture of old and new traditions at the Morgan High School 2012 commencement. For the first time, the ceremony was held at the Dee Event Center in Ogden. Graduates were able to have their entire family join in the celebration as they begin this new phase of their lives. The spacious auditorium offers room to grow for the high school as the years progress, should the school decide to continue ceremonies at the new venue.

A love of tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril; but the new view must come, the world must roll forward.

The graduating class of 2012 will see the end of a long-standing tradition at Morgan High School. The class presidency requested that the graduation ceremony be moved from the Morgan High School Auditorium to Weber State University due to the growing graduating class size and limited space at the high school.
