Haunting events return to Morgan

The holidays are filled with fun and tradition wherever you go, but very few communities have such a wide array of things you can participate in for free.   The city, local businesses and community members all pitch in to make sure that there are plenty of holiday memories made right here at home.

Red Ribbon a success at Morgan schools

Morgan Middle school culminated an event filled week Thursday afternoon, by hosting an assembly to reinforce the messages of the Red Ribbon Week campaign. Started in 1988, Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program which is used to teach students all across America the danger of illegal drugs.

Sr Halloween Party

Halloween Bingo was a great hit at the center on October 28th right after lunch.  Lois Woody was the “caller” for the games and kept everyone on their toes by letting participants trade, take or pass on gifts.

Morgan Valley Memories for the Week of Oct 29

Mrs. Eliza Anne Hayes and her husband died within 45 hours of each other.  First Eliza died from a bloody nose, that lasted less than five minutes and was in good health prior to the nose bleed; Her husband Alfred Hayes, who had been in poor health for many years, passed away 45 hours later.
