On Saturday, January 7, 2012, an email was sent from the Trapper Trails scout office in Ogden requesting all available scouts in the Trapper Trails Council participate in lining the funeral procession route for fallen Officer Jared Francom. Because Officer Francom was an Eagle Scout himself, having scouts line the route in their uniforms would be a way to help honor him.

One of the things I think that would make Morgan County a better place is a river walk. I would like to see it tie into the ogden river walk. It could start at the park in Morgan and go by Peterson, Mountain Green, then down the canyon.

Boy Scout Unit 576 of the Mt. Ogden District, Trapper trails Council, has been placing the American flag in the front of various Mountain Green homes for nine years! What a great patriotic service to our community! Plus, those who have subscribed to their service help support our local Boy Scout programs and summer camps. One hundred and eighteen flags are being posted this year for each of the seven flag holidays.
