Obituary - William Dee Brown (“The Big Brown Bear”)

William Dee Brown, 53, died July 28, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital of complications of cancer. Bill was born July 11, 1959, in Logan, Utah, the son of Maurell Dee and Betty Jean Marz Brown. He was raised in Morgan, Utah. He graduated from Morgan High School and attended Snow College and Weber State University. Bill married Gerri Lynne Giles on June 26, 1981 in the Logan Temple.

Betty Jean Lund passed away at age 84. She died on November 7, 2011 in Morgan, Utah.

She was born Betty Jean Hinton to John Howard Hinton and Inez Mathews Hinton on April 22, 1927.  On Sept. 27, 1946, she married Howard L. Lund.  They enjoyed 65 beautiful years.

The Art Vault, a hands on learning, sharing, arts center

Tom Reinhart an entrepreneurial spirited man, and talented musician living in Morgan, originally moved to Morgan to be close to Snow Basin, but soon found other opportunities to spark his interest.  Reinhart came across the old bank building on Commercial Street and the wheels started turning. He immediately saw the potential of the building in bringing a cultural center to Morgan, where the community could come together in learning new skills; develop talents of music, arts and crafts. This novel is an academy where musicians could come and perform, have jam sessions,  record if they wanted, start up bands could practice and learn stage skills, and produce music and live video, and web development.

Obituary for Don Lester Creager

Don left the love of his life Shirley “Liz” Hammons Creager to join his parents Lester and Alta Richins Creager on May 19, 2011.  He died of a massive heart attack at McKay Dee Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the South Morgan Cemetery.  A viewing will be held Monday, May 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.

Don and Shirley were married in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 5, 1952.  He was born at his grandparent’s ranch in Echo, Utah on May 9, 1933.
