This year marks the 90th anniversary of The Morgan County News.  Edna and Clement Wallace began publishing The Morgan County News in October of 1923.  Over the past 90 years, the newspaper has been owned by less than 10 publishers and has published continuously since its beginning.  

The Morgan Conservation District is pleased to announce Quincee Dorius as the winner of the 2012 Conservation poster contest.  Quincee is in the fourth grade and attends Mountain Green Elementary.  

Morgan High wrestlers hosted North Summit at Morgan High on Thursday, Dec. 6. Morgan did well beating North Summit in front of their home crowd.  They wrestled again on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8, at Roy duals. The varsity team placed 12th beating out Brighton by one point.

The Young Automotive Group added a new dealership to their company with the purchase of Barber Brothers Ford, in Morgan, on Dec. 3, 2012. The new dealership will run under the name of Young Ford.

Recent years have seen the creation and expansion of a new type of community recreation that provides an opportunity for families to enjoy the outdoors and engage in physical activity together, while remaining relatively low in upfront and ongoing cost.

With the beginning of the school year upon us, there seems to be a growing concern in the community about speeding problems.  Commuter time overlaps school bus schedules and inevitably, people will be in a hurry during prime commuting time.  However, residents need to remember that there are precious little ones lining these streets during these times as well.
