Free ‘UDOT Traffic’ app provides traffic, construction, weather info

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) announces a new smart phone app that will allow people to get traffic, road conditions, and road forecast information on the go.  The UDOT Traffic app is available for iPhone and Android users at no cost.  The app has been downloaded nearly 16,500 times since Dec. 4.

Find Your Family for July 1st, 2011

Last week we had a copy customer come in and ask to use our computer to pull up the file they wanted to print from Dropbox.  This was a first for us, but I think not the last time it will happen.  I was reading a blog post about Dropbox and why the author no longer carried flash drives.  It got me thinking about the fact that I rarely use flash drives anymore.

It's Becoming a Mobile World

It is becoming a mobile world. Everywhere you go people are on phones, texting, and posting pictures of their life to Facebook and other social media sites. This is happening from wherever the person is at that moment. Last year when my son had his wisdom teeth out he asked the oral surgeon if he could record it so he could post it online.

As more people have begun using Macs (Apple’s personal computer) over the past few years I have often been asked if I could recommend a record manager for the Mac.  I have consistently replied that there are no good record managers for the Mac and that I run one of the Windows record managers in Parallels on my Mac.  Today I will change my reply.
