Obituary – Emma Elizabeth Frazier Clark


Emma Elizabeth Frazier Clark passed away March 10, 2011 at The Family Tree Assisted Living in Morgan, Utah from complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born May 19, 1935 in Oakley, Utah to Douglas Monroe Frazier and Opal Elphia Smith Frazier. It was in Bountiful, Utah where her friend Irene Clark introduced her to Irene’s handsome Blue eyed older brother. Emma married Clifford Dean Clark on April 7, 1951. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple in 1964. Dean passed away October 16, 2008. Emma was a faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions and callings. Her happiest times were spent in service in the Relief Society, Young Women’s and Primary auxiliaries. Emma had been employed at various places including Defense Depot Ogden, I.R.S. and Roger’s Foods, but her real career and the joy of her life was that of Homemaker and her family. Emma was a prolific crocheter. In her middle years she began oil painting and painted several portraits that graced her home and the homes of her children and their families. Emma is survived by her four children: Mike Clark (Lisa Jo), Gaylene Clark Adams (Les), Steven Clark (Diane) all of Morgan, UT, Bonnie Clark Bickel (Jim) Mercer, PA, sixteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved baby sister Geneene Page (Lynn). Emma was preceded in death by her eternal companion Clifford Dean Clark, her parents, a brother Warren L. Frazier, and a sister Shirley Frazier Olsen. Emma’s Family gratefully acknowledges the staff at Washington Terrace Health Services and gives profound thanks and gratitude to the staff at The Family Tree in Morgan. You guys are LOVED beyond belief! We also thank Dr. Justin Mansfield and Hospice For Utah. A viewing was held in Morgan at Walker Mortuary in Morgan on Sunday evening, March 13, 2011 Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, 2001 at the Morgan 9th Ward chapel in Morgan, Utah. A viewing was held prior to the service. Interment South Morgan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emma’s name to the Morgan Scholarship Foundation or the Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
