Vivian Dot Grover

Vivian Dot Grover was born on November 4, 1921 in a small town by Victor, Id to James and Lottie Grover. She was the 7th of ten children, 6 boys and 4 girls. Her family moved to Morgan in time for her to attend 4th grade. She has always loved sports and played softball as a young woman. She moved into the home her and her family built in 1937. Before the home was done, Vivian’s mother passed away, leaving Vivian with many responsibilities. She worked at the arsenol in Ogden putting bullets together, then in boxes to ship. Vivian cared for her father and two brothers, Cliff and Dee, for many years. While in the Morgan 4th ward, Vivian served as a visiting teacher, greeter and in the library. She loves reading and history. Vivian has been in the Morgan county Fair Parade because of her service and is an honored fan of the Utah Jazz. Karl Malone and John Stockton honored her with a signed basketball for years of service with the Morgan County Senior Center. We would like to invite family and friends to join in celebrating Vivian’s 90th birthday at an open house on Sunday Nov. 6, 2011 from 6-7:30pm at the Morgan Ut stake Center, multi-purpose room.
