City breaks ground on splash pad

Morgan City broke ground this week on the new splash pad. It is expected to be completed by the end of June and will be available for use in time for the fourth of July celebration. There will be no cost to use the splash pad. The city is continuing to raise funds for benches and three of the water features. Information about donating can be obtained from the Morgan City offices. The city would like to remind parents to keep their children safely away from the construction area, including the large piles of dirt and rocks on site during the construction period.
