Our Morgan County Fair Royalty contest is coming up Monday, July 30, 2012. This year we have 12 young ladies registered to participate. This is a great group of young ladies that have worked hard getting ready for this contest. The public is invited to come and watch these young ladies starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Morgan Elementary School. Each girl will present a short speech, modeling, and answer impromptu questions. The contest will then move to the Morgan County Fairgrounds at 2 p.m. where the girls will compete in the horsemanship portion. Contestants for 2012 Morgan County Fair & Rodeo Queen are as follows: Courtney Sanders is the 15-year-old daughter of Cory and Kristy Sanders. She loves participating in 4-H. Hobbies include playing the guitar and piano and participating in sports. Courtney would like to attend BYU upon completing high school. Kacee Waldron is the 16-year-old daughter of Rex and Suzi Waldron. Kacee enjoys the sport of rodeo and participates in high school rodeo in the barrel racing, pole bending and cow cutting events. Kacee would like to become an ultrasound technician. Ariana Rich is the 16-year-old daughter of Blake and Shay Rich. Ariana loves to be outside. She likes to rides horses and show cows. She wants to be a veterinarian and own a big ranch. Contestants for 2012 Morgan County Fair & Rodeo Princess are as follows: Brittany Stephens is the 13-year-old daughter of Shane and Michelle Stephens. She enjoys riding horses, singing, playing the piano and flute. Brittany would like to work at the Morgan County Library. One of her goals is to have good grades through high school. Kayden Jorgensen is the 12-year-old daughter of Shane and Jessica Jorgensen. She loves to be around animals and would like the opportunity to learn more about rodeos. When Kayden grows up she wants to be a nurse. Madisen Porter is the 13 -year-old daughter of Matt and Kellie Porter. Madisen participates in cow cutting, swimming and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to participating in high school rodeo and wants to become a veterinarian. Reganne Hales is the 13-year-old daughter of Ron and Becky Hales. Rodeo and the fair are a big part of Reganne’s life. She attends Morgan Middle School and enjoys art, music and math. Reganne would also like to become a veterinarian. Contestants for 2012 Morgan County Fair & Rodeo Jr. Princess are as follows: Averie Jaffa is the 8-year-old daughter of Dave and Dezarae Jaffa. She loves to swim, ride horses, and is a hard worker. Averie is the oldest child in her family. She would like to go to culinary school to be a chef. Hayden Keele is the 11-year-old daughter of Ryan and Stephanie Keele. Hayden has always wanted to be part of the fair royalty. She will be a sixth grader at Morgan Middle School. She loves soccer and is the starting center for the Wasatch Storm team. Paysen Carter is the 8-year-old daughter of Tel and Sherie Carter. She loves horses. She loves to play with her siblings and friends. Paysen would like to travel the world. Her goal is to be a horse trainer and breeder. Taylor Porter is the 9-year-old daughter of Matt and Kellie Porter. Her hobbies include skiing, reading and spending time with her animals. She enjoys participating in the 4-H and livestock program in Morgan. Tiffany Chappell is the 9-year-old daughter of Merl and Diane Chappell. She loves being around horses and rodeos. She likes to read, play the piano and do crafts. Tosha Turner is the 10-year-old daughter of Ryan and ShaNell Turner. She really likes the fair and wants to follow in her mother’s footsteps of being part of the Morgan County Fair royalty. She likes to play soccer, and would like to be a professional soccer player or photographer. The royalty winners will be announced Monday evening just prior to the Jr. Rodeo at the Morgan County fairgrounds.
