The Morgan Education Foundation is excited to announce that Young Ford Group and Peterson Wealth Services are beginning two new and exciting Facebook campaigns that will benefit the foundation. From now until the end of March, Young Ford will donate $1 to the Morgan Education Foundation for every new LIKE on their Facebook page and beginning on March 10, Peterson Wealth Services will donate $1 as well for each new LIKE on their page. As Brenda Crossley, MEF president, commented, This is so much fun to have people from the community coming forward with such a simple request and willing to give from their pockets to the teachers and the kids. I love it! The Morgan Education Foundation was established in 2007 with the goal to enhance the educational experience and pursuit of excellence of all students attending Morgan County public schools. Thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, the foundation has been doing just that. Last August, the MEF hosted their annual golf tournament at Round Valley Golf Course. The proceeds from this event helped to fund teacher grants. Huge thanks to all who supported this fun event through a donation or by sponsoring a team! We invite everyone to plan now to participate in this year’s golf tournament which will be held on August 6, 2013. In the fall, the foundation approved over $12,000 in teacher grants which provided document cameras, reading books, PLC workbooks, and other needed classroom supplies to teachers who submitted grant requests. We are so proud of our teachers and thrilled that we were able to grant, at least in part, every request submitted. The Morgan Education Foundation is continuing to building strong partnerships with local businesses, foundations, and generous individuals. We are extremely grateful for the kind support that we have received from our generous community. So remember to LIKE Young Ford & Peterson Wealth Services on Facebook from now until March 31. A great big thank you to both of these fine companies for supporting our teachers and kids.
