Pink Night honors former coach

If you happen to be a lover of Morgan High School, parades, volleyball and the color pink, then Oct. 3 is your lucky day. The Morgan Lady Trojan volley ball team will play their fourth annual Pink Night match, with proceeds going towards cancer research. This match also gives the Lady Trojans and their fans a chance to honor former coach Sheri Wright, who was a big part of the volleyball team for many years. This year’s opponent in the non-region match will be the Lone Peak Knights, who were the 5A runners up last season. The sophomore girls will play at 4:30 p.m., followed by the junior varsity team at 5:45 p.m. The varsity game will then start at 7 p.m. During the evening, all things pink will be on sale or auction. There will be a quilt for auction, a pink volleyball signed by the Lady Trojans, as well as all sorts of food and goodies such as pink cookies, suckers, cotton candy and popcorn. Please make sure to bring your purse, wallet, checkbook and any loose change to support the cause. At one point during the evening, the Most Outrageously Pink Parade will take place. Contestants will line up and parade around the gym in front of celebrity judges and spectators, hoping to win some great prizes. The parade is open to the public, anyone of any age may enter. Simply show up dressed in your favorite pink attire and you’re in. Please mark this night down on your calendar; you won’t be disappointed. You will be treated to a great game of volleyball, as well as support a worthy cause to fund cancer research.
