Morgan Valley Crafts adds LDS books and gifts

The city of Morgan is proud of the fact that Commercial Street is slowly coming back to life. New signs have appeared throughout the year marking that growth. The newest sign on the street belongs to Morgan Valley Crafts. Over the past year many families have brightened and beautified their homes with items from this new store. Each season brings new items for fun and decoration at Morgan Valley Crafts. After a year of operation and just in time for the holidays, Morgan Valley Crafts recently added a new line of products. In addition to home dÌ©cor items to augment the regular craft line, the store has added LDS books and gifts. We were very pleased to be approved as a reseller for Deseret Book, said store owner Don Anderson. There are very few stores in Utah that are approved to carry Deseret Book products. The new store has most of the items from LDS Distribution as well as many of the items sold by Deseret Book. The store also carries items for missionaries, baptisms, birthdays, and lesson preparation, as well as music, movies and sheet music. From Michael Vey and Fablehaven to Josie Kilpack’s recipe murder mysteries, you will find a great read at Morgan Valley Crafts, Anderson said. He recommends President Monson’s new book Consider the Blessings saying it is as beautiful as it is inspiring. Another recommendation is the new Heirloom edition of the Book of Mormon. This book is reminiscent of family bibles of the past. This leather bound Book of Mormon contains beautiful illustrations and is a great tool to engage members of all ages in family scripture study, said Anderson. In addition to gospel centered literature, the store will also feature fiction reads by LDS authors. From Michael Vey and Fablehaven to Josie Kilpack’s recipe murder mysteries, you will find a great read at Morgan Valley Crafts. Morgan Valley Crafts has a number of Christmas books already in stock. These fun-filled books will get you in the Christmas spirit and fill your home with the scents of Christmas cooking. Anderson suggested sending Christmas stories as an alternative to Christmas cards. If you are looking for something a little different than the standard Christmas card, or if you are looking for a gift for home and visiting teaching families, pick up a short Christmas story, he said. These stories come complete with an envelope for mailing. They help bring the spirit of Christmas to each home. The store also just acquired a new printer which gives them the ability to print posters up to 42 wide. This makes printing your FamilySearch fan chart easy. These fan charts are easy to mount, frame and hang on your wall. Emergency preparedness goes hand in hand with gospel principles, so the craft store will also stock Wise Products. Endorsed by Marie Osmond, Wise Products offers a line of dehydrated food that is great for food storage. If you have limited space and want great food that will last for 25 years, then look no further than Morgan Valley Crafts. If you are looking for a great gift for children or grandchildren to get them started with food storage, then consider Wise Products food storage as a gift, encouraged Anderson. Now is the perfect time to visit Morgan Valley Crafts. There are still particularly cute Halloween items to finish and buy. Thanksgiving crafts are also in and Christmas crafts are on their way. The in-store craft room is a great location to make family Christmas gifts. The store carries kids’ crafts as well as everything you would need for a girl’s night out. Classroom fees are minimal and there is a huge selection of unfinished wood crafts for you to create. This allows you to have a worry free night without messing up your own living room. With Christmas just around the corner, Morgan Valley Crafts is a one stop shop for all your decorating and gift giving needs.
