Amanda Campbell was born in Ogden, Utah on July 11 and grew up in Morgan with her brother Justin until the family moved to Torrington, Wyoming, during her ninth through 11th grade years. She returned for her senior year at Morgan High School, graduating in 1992. In high school Amanda was a very social young lady, maybe at times deciding to participate more in the social events rather than the many other offerings at the time. Amanda has great range when it comes to work experience. She has farmed, bartended, waitressed, sold auto paint and even delivered mail before becoming the head custodian at Mountain Green Elementary. She also did a little bit of training at the DATC in HVAC, which has been useful with some of things that occur in the heating and cooling of our school. She has been working for the district for five years and this is her second year in the head custodial position. She is an excellent employee and is extremely self-motivated in keeping things in tip-top shape at Mountain Green Elementary. Her dependability and dedication to students and staff is immeasurable and I appreciate all she does for us at school. When Amanda is not at work, she spends time with her family, her husband Carl, her daughter Nocona, and her son Coby. Her first-born son Cason lost his heroic battle with cancer in 2010 at the age of 8. This spurred her on to take a major role in helping other cancer patients celebrate more birthdays. She will be the event chair for the 2014 Morgan Relay for Life which will take place August 8-9. Amanda has many interests and hobbies, but those that she wished to share consisted of liking to go camping, remodeling her home and traveling. She loves to go anywhere, especially those places you can drive, because flying is not her favorite mode of transportation. One thing that she also enjoys is watching a Disney animated feature or any Disney movie, for that matter. I first met Amanda when she was in sixth grade, when I began my career in Morgan County School District. She was a shy and very polite young lady to faculty and staff and I have now come to know her as an exceptional person and employee.
