Betty Ann Pentz died Nov. 6, 2015, in her home in Stoddard surrounded by her family. Betty was born Nov. 29, 1928, in Cheyenne, Wyom., to Lyle and Mazina Alberta Peterson Stephens.

Graveside services were held on Nov. 11, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Milton Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

Betty moved with her family to Laramie, Wyom., and later to Seal Beach, Calif. She then settled in Morgan, Utah, where she met Jay Irwin Pentz. They were married in Elko, Nev., on Sept. 30, 1961.

Their son Bill Pentz was born in 1966. He remained the most important part of her life until the birth of her grandchildren Lizzy and Alex.

Betty is survived by her son Bill (Carol Kippen) Pentz; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alex; nephew, Lyle Neuteboom; and nieces, Carol Sears, Sue Moyer, and Jill Carrigan.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Jay; parents; two brothers, Lyle “Stevie” (Lanie) Stephens and Tommy Stephens; sister, Billie (James) Santee; and niece, Billie G. Netz.
