Girls’ Soccer is undefeated in region play and claimed the Region XIII Championship last week for the first time since 2001. They will play their first playoff game at home Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.

Boys’ Golf capped off their first team region championship season since 1995 by claiming the Region XIII championship a couple of weeks ago at Hobble Creek Golf Course. Ryan Millburn finished first individually and Nathan Preslar finished second. Boy’s Golf will start their pursuit of a state championship Oct. 4 at the 3A State Tournament in Richfield.

Girls’ Tennis had a very good season and played in a tough region with the addition of Judge Memorial and strong 2A tennis schools like Waterford and Rowland Hall because 2A no longer has tennis. All of our varsity team qualified for the 3A State Tournament. They finished their season last week at the 3A State Tournament at Liberty Park; Lauren Hadley finished third in 2nd Singles and Erin Bartol and Ashley McMillan finished third in 2nd Doubles. They took 4th in region and 5th at state.

Cross Country is in the midst of a very good season. Carson Wilkins and Erika Parry lead the way as both the boy’s and girl’s teams are in the mix to win a region championship and hope to carry momentum in to the 3A State Championship, where they will be considered one of the favorites. Region XIII championship will be held at the Cottonwood Complex in Salt Lake City on Oct. 13 at 1:30. The 3A State Championship will be at Sugar House Park on Oct. 18. Girls’ race starts at 11:30 a.m. and the Boys’ race starts 1 p.m. 

Volleyball is undefeated in region and looking to finish the year strong by winning their 25th consecutive region championship and heading into the state tournament with a lot of momentum. Recently they defeated the two time defending 4A state champion, Bountiful, 3-1. The state tournament will be played Oct. 25 and 26 at UVU.

Football is undefeated in region and looking for two more wins to cap off a second straight region championship season. State playoffs start Oct. 19.   We will earn a bye that day with a first or second place finish in region.
