Utah Department of Health announces Utah rural photo contest

Governor Gary R. Herbert has declared the week of Nov. 12 -18, 2017, as Rural Health Week in Utah and rural communities are encouraged to celebrate with activities that improve the health of rural Utahns.

The Utah Department of Health’s Utah Office of Primary Care and Rural Health (OPCRH) invites Morgan residents to submit their best photos into the Annual Utah Rural Photo Contest. “We encourage you to be creative and share visually what rural means to you!”

Contestants are welcome to submit one or more photos until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017.

Please submit up to eight photos in a .jpeg format, up to size 5Mb per pictures to opcrh@utah.gov. Please complete and include the Media Consent Form/Photo Entry with your submission.

Photos will be judged by the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health based on creativity, originality, photo quality, and how well they communicate the concept of “rural.” Winners will be notified by Nov. 20 and photos will be posted on the OPCRH website.

Upon submission, all photos become the sole property of the Utah Department of Health and can be used for any purpose with credit to the photographer.

First place winners receive an Annual National Park Pass; second and third place winners will go home with a computer backpack; and fourth and fifth place entries will win a wireless headset.  All winners will also receive a Safe Travels First Aid Kit.
