Oct. 21 – ARREST: On Friday morning a Deputy took a report of thefts that had been occurring at 7-Eleven over the last few days. Deputies located the female suspect early Saturday morning and conducted a traffic stop. She was arrested for Theft as well as driving on Revoked Driver’s License, not having an Interlock device installed in her vehicle, No Insurance and two Warrants; one for DUI and another for Retail Theft. She was booked into jail without incident.
Oct. 24 – SUSPICIOUS: On Saturday night Deputies were dispatched to a male acting strangely on State Street in Morgan. Deputies located the male and determined he was on a Hallucinogen commonly known as Acid. He was transported to a hospital for treatment and observation.
ARREST: On Monday evening a Deputy was on patrol in the Mtn Green area and stopped a car for speeding. The driver had a suspended Driver’s License and two Warrants. He was arrested and booked into jail.
Oct. 29 – ARREST: On Thursday morning a Deputy stopped a car on I84. The driver had a suspended driver’s license and 3 Warrants for his arrest; 2 for Driving on Suspended License and 1 for Possession of Controlled Substance & Paraphernalia. He was arrested and booked into jail.
Oct. 31 – WARRANT ARREST: On Monday Deputies located a male in Morgan City wanted on 3 Warrants; Retail Theft, Theft by Price Switching, and Operating a Vehicle with No Insurance. He was arrested and booked into jail.
ARREST: On Monday evening Deputies responded to a residence in Mtn Green on a report of a family disturbance. A male was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and booked into jail.
DOING GOOD: On Monday a Morgan Deputy traveled to Salt Lake City to meet “The Donut Boy” and presented him with Morgan County Patches and Coins, along with this one from the Utah Sheriff’s Association.
Nov. 8 – ARREST: On Friday evening a female was speeding down I84 in the Mtn Green area and passed a Deputy. He stopped the vehicle and discovered the female had a Suspended Driver’s License and a Warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and booked into jail…. It’s always advisable to drive within the speed limit, but when you have a suspended license and warrants for your arrest it’s probably a good idea to keep all traffic laws when out on the road.
Nov. 17 – Deputies and UHP Troopers responded to a fatal car accident on I-84 around 10am this morning. We express our condolences to this young man’s family and friends.
Nov. 22 – ARREST: On Sunday a Deputy stopped out on a pickup truck parked on the shoulder of I84. The truck had a shell on it and the Deputy saw there was a male in the back of the truck and no one else around. The male stated he had run out of gas and was waiting for help. The Deputy saw drug paraphernalia in plain view and arrested the male. He was booked into jail for possession of Marijuana and paraphernalia.
ARREST: Early Tuesday morning Deputies were alerted to a suspicious vehicle in Morgan City. While searching for the vehicle, they were dispatched to a break in alarm at a local business. Deputies found the door had been pried open, but no one was inside. While searching the area, they located the vehicle on Commercial Street and conducted a high risk traffic stop. The male driver was arrested for driving with Revoked License and 3 Warrants. Deputies obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and found property linking the male to several burglaries. Deputies were also able to find evidence linking the male to the burglary of the business they had just responded to. The male was booked into jail on multiple burglary charges, as well as Criminal Mischief, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Dangerous Weapons by a Restricted Person.
ARREST: Deputies responded to a report of a home burglary (not connected to the other burglaries previously mentioned) in Morgan City on Monday. The female suspect fled prior to Deputies arriving. She was located and arrested Wednesday morning without incident.
ARREST: On Wednesday afternoon, at about 1pm, a male and a female from Layton decided to make the most of the unusually warm weather and came up to Morgan County to take pictures. They ended up on the railroad bridge, which is private property, near the Mountain Green exit. Union Pacific Railroad personnel saw them and called in requesting Deputies respond to the situation. (The railroad personnel thought the couple was fishing from the bridge.) When Deputies arrived they observed the male and female on the bridge. The male was completely nude and was being photographed by the female. The male was arrested for Criminal Trespass along with Lewdness and booked into jail. The female was cited for Criminal Trespass.
Nov. 25 – ARREST: Early Saturday morning a Deputy stopped a person on a motorcycle for expired registration. It was then determined that the motorcycle had been stolen. The male riding the motorcycle had a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for his arrest. Deputies also found meth and a large amount of prescription pills (not prescribed to the male). The male was arrested and booked into jail on his warrant as well as; Felony Theft, 2 Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving on Suspension.
Nov. 28 – ARREST: On Monday afternoon Deputies investigated a report of Domestic Violence that had occurred earlier in the day in Mtn Green. A male was arrested and booked into jail for Domestic Violence Assault.
