Katelyn Wilson is looking to bring back fun to Morgan. She is the new manager at Parkside Lanes at 125 N. 200 E. in Morgan, Utah. It’s near the Riverside Park.
Parkside Lanes is under new ownership and management. Matt Wilson, Jon Cannon, and Stacey Fredricksen purchased the property in November of 2017. They are now in the process of restoring the bowling alley and upgrading the center to include a new sit-down restaurant, a new concession area, and new scoring screens. “We want to get it up and going again,” Katelyn said. “We want to make it a place where the kids feel safe, and that they can come in and hang out without having to go down the canyon. We want there to be a real option for having fun in Morgan.”
Katelyn previously worked as a payroll clerk for a charter school, and she is thrilled to be back in Morgan for work. She said, “It’s been so fun for me, the last two months since I’ve started here, to see people I never got to see. I’m so happy to be back in Morgan to work with the community and to see everyone again. I’m excited. I’m trying to make this place a happy, upbeat place.” The first major upgrade, the concession area, will be finished sometime in early March. Concessions will include corn dogs, hot dogs, nachos, and drinks. The sit-down restaurant will be completed in the next couple of months. Right now, they are in the process of finding the right fit for the restaurant. They have already redone the bathrooms and floors. The new scoring machines will be installed in about 6 months. Eventually, they also want to install movie theaters in the center. They plan to introduce new competitions and programs for kids and families. Bowling rates are $3.25 per game and $2.75 for shoe rental. $2.50 for seniors. You can also bowl free on your birthday.
