Sterling Scholar – Samantha Stoker

Samantha Stoker, daughter of Reid Stoker and Bryan and Wendy Wilson, has been involved in agricultural science her whole life.  “It’s a huge part of who I am,” Stoker explained. Now the Agricultural Science Sterling Scholar for Morgan High School, Stoker has a clear passion for what she does.

Being involved in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) club all of high school, Stoker has also had opportunity for leadership positions and other activities related to her category.  Beyond exhibiting sheep across the state, she explained, “I travel to Phoenix, Arizona, the day after Christmas each year and show sheep at the Arizona National Livestock Show.”

Currently, Stoker is the Utah State FFA Vice President for 2018-2019.  Participating in activities beyond her immediate school club is what has made her perfect for her Sterling Scholar title.

Stoker explained that she loves “any activity outside.”  Her favorite quote is “Keep it simple, stupid,” by John Wayne.  Stoker’s determination to succeed and positive outlook on life contribute to her abilities and strengths.

After finishing up as the Utah State FFA Vice President, Stoker will be attending Utah State University.  The accomplishments Stoker has made in the agricultural science category fully qualify her to represent Morgan as the Agricultural Science Sterling Scholar.
